No. ProveForecast is an indicative screening estimate based on comparable historical scenarios, not a site-specific predictive model. Suitable for early-stage EP preparation and scoping. High-risk or novel surveys will still require formal JASCO / SLR modelling.
Where does the data come from?+
All acoustic modelling results are drawn from Environmental Plans submitted to NOPSEMA and published on the NOPSEMA Environmental Register. Only plans with approved full acoustic modelling reports - primarily JASCO and SLR outputs - are included.
What outputs does ProveForecast produce?+
Each screening returns r160, r180 and r120 Rmax distances at P10 / P50 / P90 percentile bands, a confidence rating (insufficient / low / medium / high), a ranked analogue list with similarity scores, and an HTML memo pre-formatted for EP Section 5.3.
How current is the database?+
Updated periodically as new EPs are approved and published. The current release covers 51 approved scenarios drawn from over 650 Environmental Plans, with continuous expansion planned via automated extraction from new NOPSEMA registrations.
